Hi There! I am so excited that you are here and I would love to tell you about my journey that has led me to be the owner of Charming Sparrow Boutique.  I am a small town girl that grew up in Kirbyville, Texas.  I grew up on a farm, way out in the country, with cows and horses.  Fast forward some years and I am now a busy, blessed mom to 2 rowdy boys and a beautiful stepdaughter. I am married to my best friend and soulmate. I know that sounds cliche, but it is so true. I would not be where I am today without his love and support.  I graduated from Dental Hygiene School in 2009 and have been practicing dental hygiene full time every since.  I am and always have been a girly girl and love all things involved with fashion, jewelry, accessories, and more. I was not blessed with a crafty gene, so my way to express myself and be creative is through fashion and getting dolled up(as my husband would say). I absolutely love being a hygienist and treating patients and I currently still practice now, just part time. A few years ago, the physical stress of the career started to take its toll and I have had lots of pain and recently started physical therapy.  I started to get worried about where my career was going and, as with everything, I looked up and turned to the big man upstairs.  I prayed and prayed.  I mean, I have a kid starting college next year and 2 more to raise, so I was not ready to throw in the towel.  I have always worked since I was 16 years old, so the thought of not being able to work terrified me. This past Christmas, my husband and I had the privledge of being in a position where we could help others and give back some.  That was the highlight of the season to me. I am definitely a people person and I love doing for others. So, while at church, not long after Christmas, I prayed that God would please allow my family to  have the opportunity to give back and help others again.  Well, God was listening, just like he always is.  Within a week I was meeting with an old friend and discussing buying a boutique.  Within 2 weeks, I was the owner of Charming Sparrow Boutique. It was a crazy whirlwind and I am pretty sure I did not sleep for about 2 weeks. In the middle of all this, I had a vision of starting a jewelry line that would be faith based and give proceeds back to Student Ministries here in the United States.  My oldest son plans to become a minister and this is something very dear to my heart with his honor in mind. (I'm just a little proud of him to say the least.) The store I was considering buying also carried a candle line that provides a meal to kids in poverty with every candle purchased. I knew this was meant to be. God was presenting me the opportunity to give back. So, as a result Charming Sparrow Boutique was created.  The name came from what a sparrow is and the bible verse in Matthew about God's eye being on the sparrow stuck out to me. I am so blessed to be able to enjoy my love of fashion and celebrate women, as well as give back.  My goal with the store is to carry vendors with a give back theme. With God's will, I will be able to start the jewelry line I hope to create. The past few months have been insane and now working 2 jobs, being a wife, mom, and friend has been a lot.  I wouldn't trade it for anything if I am able to help even 1 person.  So, thanks for getting to know a little about me and my family!
